UFC Fight Night Abu Dhabi 2

After watching the latest UFC event, all I can say is wow. Whether it was amazing TKO's, fighters coming back adversity, or quick finishes, this card definitely lived up to the hype.

The fight and TKO of the night, had to go to Joaquin Buckley and Impa Kasanganay. In this middleweight bout, Buckley was able land a jump spinning back kick on Kasanganay ending the fight in the second round, and creating a viral moment on the internet.

With Buckley having a crazy win over Kasanganay, the Tom Breese vs KB Bhullar fight was a noticeable performance. Breese was able to dispatch Bhullar in under 2 minutes of the first round. Breese landed a beautiful left hand that stumbled Bhullar and changed his undefeated record.

The next fight that impressed me was the Edson Barboza and Makwan Amirkhani bout. With Barboza losing his last 3 fights, there was pressure on him to get a win. Although the fight seemed weary in the first round, Barboza was able to be dominant throughout the fight, land significant shots to hurt Amirkhani, and secure a decision win. Making him a noticeable threat in the featherweight decision.

Lastly, the main event between Marlon Moraes and Cory Sandhagen bout blew my expectations. I originally thought Moraes was going to secure a quick victory over Sandhagen within the first 3 rounds, however, Sandhagen proved me wrong. Sandhagen's kicks to Moreas' body and leg left a huge impact in the fight. With Sandhagen landing and seeing the impact of his shots, his confidence grew, and allowed him to fire off a spinning heel kick and land vicious ground and pound to finish off Moraes. With Sandhagen beating the number 1 contender it puts him in spot to get the winner of Sterling and Yan.
